Castellare di Castellina
Castellare di Castellina is a 100 ha wine estate in the hart of the Chianti Classico area, close to Castellina in Chianti. The estate’s 30 ha of vineyards occupy a natural amphitheatre exposed to the South east. Each year Castellare produces about 200.000 bottles of wine. A census of the vine variety, at the beginning, has allowed to select the best clone of Sangioveto, a noble native version of Sangiovese. A different bird chosen among the species in danger is reproduced every year on the labels of Castellare, as a sign of the care towards the environment that drives the production of Castellare.
