Castello Banfi, situated on the southern slopes of Montalcino, was founded in 1978 by the Mariani family, focusing their endeavors in this particularly evocative area. Inspired by the region’s noble history and potential for excellence in winemaking, they indissolubly linked Banfi to Montalcino and its future. At the center of the property lies the medieval Poggio alle Mura Castle, which, following loving restoration, has today become a pioneering beacon for regional hospitality. In addition to daily tours of our winery and Glass Museum, guests can enjoy traditional local dishes at Taverna Banfi or simply savor the excellence of Castello Banfi estate wines, accompanied by Tuscan artisan cheese and cured meats in the traditional Enoteca. The luxury rooms of Castello Banfi-Il Borgo complete the wealth of hospitable offerings.
