The winery was founded in 1956 by Michele Chiarlo at Calamandrana in the heart of Barbera d’Asti area. The philosophy of the winery is to produce wines only using local grapes, cultivated in the most famous single vineyards of the most representative growing areas of Piedmont. Thanks to his more than 50 years experience, Michele Chiarlo produces outstandiing wines whose characteristics faithfully represent the variety of provenance, as well as their terroir. Today the company owns 60 Ha. of vineyards foremost among which great crus such as Cerequio and Cannubi in Barolo and La Court Barbera.
