Tenuta San Guido
Mario Incisa was the first to produce a Bordeaux-style wine on Italian soil, recognizing some clear similarities between Bolgheri and the Graves in Bordeaux. Mario Incisa decided to plant cabernet on the San Guido Estate around fifties. 1968 was the first vintage to be released in the market and it was an instant success. Nicolò Incisa, son of Mario, is currently guiding the Estate, thanks to him the wine business has been developed even further, with the planting of new wine and the production of two more wines (Guidalberto & Le Difese) as well as through a major expansion in global markets.
